Our client, a leading manufacturer in the office furniture industry, is currently seeking a
Strategic Procurement Manager to develop and implement strategies for global procurement.

The Strategic Procurement Manager will be primarily responsible for:
· Developing and implementing procurement strategies for assigned commodities
· Identifying opportunities to purchase materials at the lowest cost and leading the purchasing negotiations
· Recommending improvements to the overall purchasing, procurement and supply chain program
· Analyzing market trends, identifying, qualifying and recommending supply sources
· Driving strategic cost reduction efforts
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global procurement including
management of at least $50M in annual spend.
In addition, candidates must have experience setting strategic direction and implementing plans for cost reduction,
and improvements to supply chain.

Requirements
· Experience in procurement of packaging, steel, wood, or textiles
· Experience setting the strategic direction for purchasing and procurement
· Global procurement experience including accurate calculation of landed costs and other factors that influence global pricing
· Experience controlling material cost variance
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required, MBA is preferred
